I am getting the message “We Do Not Work In Your Browser”

If you see this message, you have opened the app in a browser on an iOS device. Since microphone access is not possible on an iOS web browser, we have an app for both iPad and iPhone available in the App Store. Please note: Managing payment information requires access from a computer using Chrome or Firefox web browsers. All other features of the program are integrated into the mobile app.

My free student trial has ended. Now what?

Your 30-day free trial begins when your instructor sends the invitation to join Sightreading Coach. To continue recording and submitting assignments after 30 days, you will need to subscribe. All subscription and payment management needs to be done from a computer using the Chrome or Firefox browsers.

How do I sign up as a parent?

Follow the steps in the parent registration walk-through or tutorial video.

I don’t see a record option in my account. How is my child able to record their assignments?

If you do not see a record button in the player controls, this indicates that you are logged in as a parent. Parent accounts do not have the ability to record. Log out and log back in using the child’s username and password. If necessary, you can reset the password for your child’s account from the parent account. To do this, click on your child’s name and click the black “Reset Password” button.

My child’s record button is not working or grayed out.

If the record button is visible but no longer allowing your child to record, this indicates that you have reached the end of your free trial or your subscription billing information needs to be updated. To correct this, log in to your parent account from a computer using the Chrome or Firefox browsers. If your trial has ended, you will see a message asking you to subscribe. Follow the onscreen prompts to enter your billing information. To update this information at any time from your parent account, click on My Subscriptions in the menu.

How do I manage my child’s subscription?

To manage your subscription you will need to log in to the parent account. The parent username is typically the parent email address (unless you chose to use Facebook or Google sign-in when you set up your account). If you do not see a menu item labeled My Subscriptions, you are logged in as a student and will need to log out and log back in with the parent credentials. If you cannot remember your parent login, there is a “forgot password” link available once you click “Username and Password” on the login screen.

I’m a teacher and want to sign up my own child. How do I do that?

Follow the normal process but use a different email address for the parent email than the email you are using for your teacher account. Alternately, since you are both parent and teacher, there is no concern about communication with a minor child without parental consent, so you could invite them as adult students and skip the parent part of it entirely.
