Whether you’re teaching in-person, remotely, or a bit of both, we are committed to making the Teacher Atlas an optimal tool for Piano Adventures users. Today we are pleased to share these important updates for teachers and students, including the new Disney KIT, annotation tools, and Teacher Groups.
Disney KIT
“KIT” refers to Keyboard Interactive Teaching. This KIT is a teacher’s digital resource for teaching the PreTime Disney Book–group or private–for piano lessons online or in-person.
The KIT is composed of sharable slides for each song. The slides offer engaging instruction in note-reading, pattern recognition, symbols, melody, harmony, and scales and arpeggios to prepare the student for successful practice.
Annotations
This long-awaited feature allows users to make annotations on pages directly within the Teacher Atlas. Look for the “Annotate” button in the lower corners of any open book. When you click the button, a toolbar appears at the top of your screen with options to add free-form drawings, arrows, shapes, or text to the page. The new toolbar on the bottom left allows you to choose colors, opacity, line style, and thickness depending on the tool you are currently using. You can save the annotations in your browser by clicking the check mark at the top right, and they will be there the next time you open annotations on that page.
Teacher Groups
Users can now sign up for a group plan, with the capacity to serve a group of up to 10 teachers. Perfect for music schools and lesson programs, a Teacher Group has a single owner who sets up the account, chooses the group name, and provides payment information.
When the signup process is complete, the administrator will have access to a dashboard where they can invite group members via email, or with a special signup link. The group owner can also allow other group members to manage the group invitations and member list. Group members can be added and removed at any time. Teacher Groups automatically renew monthly or annually.
For groups of 11 teachers or more, we offer custom plans to serve larger schools, institutions, and local associations. Contact us for more information.

Does the annotation feature not work on an iPad. It shows that it is there I click on it and the toolbox comes up but it will not let me actually do anything. I have tried every feature on there. selected the ink color selected the font selected pen size everything, and it just will not do anything. as soon as you touch the screen it just slides the music on the screen around.

1) does it work on a Mac laptop, or only on a phone or ipad?
2) what instrument do we use to make the annotations?

I am delighted that you now offer a Group plan. I have a Music School and was paying each teacher to have the Atlas signed up in their own name. This is fantastic news. I signed up last evening.

Would it be possible to add the audio tracks directly to each page of every book? I have found that this feature would be extremely helpful, especially for teaching students who don’t have Apple products. It would also be helpful when teaching online.

Yes, annotation works well on any device, mobile or computer. On a computer, you use your mouse or trackpad, and on a mobile device, you use your finger or a stylus.
I’m sorry to hear that the annotation controls are not working on your iPad! It should be compatible, so I’ll send you an email so we can further troubleshoot your setup.
Would you please include the info for how to turn off or hide the annotations icon? Also, if it could be moved up to the main toolbar, that would be very helpful; the current placement is very much in the way of viewing the page, when I have that window at half screen for virtual lessons.
At the top of your Teacher Atlas bookshelf dashboard, look for the gold button “Turn annotations off.”
After clicking, you’ll notice the text update to “Annotations are currently off.”
Now when you launch books, you will no longer see the Annotate button.
Thanks for your feedback about the icon placement, which we’ll take into consideration! Note also that there are dedicated Annotate buttons for both left and right sides of a two-page spread. To adjust your view, you can try resizing your window, or experiment with a different display option (switch from Publication to Slide).
