  • Is there going to be an effort to get other Pre-Time – Big-Time books digitally, like Disney already is? Or will you put out an Atlas? My staff of instructors needs access to the other books. The PlayerApp is somewhat helpful, but does not have they layout the same as the books, so it makes online lesson communications a little complicated not seeing exactly what the students are seeing.

    • Hi Alicia — Yes, there is a schedule to add the PreTime to BigTime Piano Library to the Teacher Atlas throughout the summer.

  • I’m not sure I understand how the Atlas works. Would I need 2 screens—one to view the PA books and another to teach my online lesson?

    • Hi Judy — Basically, there are three different ways to use the Atlas in your teaching. So it will depend on how you want to use it. If you just want to view scores in the Atlas while you teach, then another device/screen would be easiest (tablet, iPad, etc). Teachers at the Faber Institute tend to use the Atlas this way. Other teachers may also have the Atlas loaded on the main screen (laptop) they are teaching from, in case they need to talk about the score with a student. In this case you can share the screen with your student. A third way would be to have the Atlas pulled up in a separate window on the computer you are teaching from, and flip back and forth between the student and the Atlas, or have the windows side-by-side.

  • Thank you for making this available. I’ve been trying to do something like this on my own, taking photos of some of the theory book pages and screen sharing them as we go through them. This will save me so much time since you’ve already done the hard work of scanning all the pages and organizing them. Now I will always have a teacher copy at my fingertips.
