Classics, Favorites, and Hymns — Oh My!

In our quest to make the Piano Adventures Teacher Atlas a “repository of learning materials,” we are pleased to announce an additional 18 books from the PreTime® to BigTime® Piano LibraryClassics, Favorites, and Hymns. These books offer a wide variety of repertoire at 6 levels of difficulty: PreTime Piano (Primer), PlayTime® Piano (Level 1), ShowTime® Piano (Level 2A), ChordTime® Piano (Level 2B), FunTime® Piano (Level 3A-3B) and BigTime Piano (Level 4 and above).

As we enter summer lessons, you and your students may enjoy selections from the Favorites such as “I Love a Piano” and “Down by the Riverside.” Or beat the summer heat with cool Classics like Bizet’s “Habanera” (from the opera Carmen), or Mussorgsky’s “Great Gate of Kiev.” Close out the day with the sweet sounds of Hymns and gospel with “Every Time I Feel the Spirit,” “Sweet Hour of Prayer,” and “Deep River.”

These 18 books expand online access to digital editions of the Piano Adventures core method books, Sightreading Books, Developing Artist Literature Books, and Primer Level Teacher Guide. New in the Atlas is an interactive Primer Lesson Book with direct links to teaching videos, pedagogy pointers, ensembles, and stories. The Gold Star Performance Books and Developing Artist Literature Books also include links to model performances, backing tracks, and student parts.

For online teaching, lesson planning, and exploration of a wealth of materials, consider the Teacher Atlas as a robust resource. The Atlas may also be helpful in allowing the teacher to sit at a safe distance from the piano when we invite students back to our studios. We look forward to the benefits of happy, in-person interactions and musical communication.

Wishing everyone safe and productive days ahead from all of us at Piano Adventures.

  • Brilliant! Thanks for sharing! I know the songs- but not the page numbers or maybe not the name of the next song in the book. Very helpful!!!

  • Do you have institutional Access to online materials? We have several teachers in our studio who love your publications and I was wondering if your had an option where several teachers could access the Atlas.
Thank you for pivoting so quickly and making this so available online.
