Many of you knew the celebrated piano pedagogue Suzanne Guy through her published series entitled Expressive Etudes. Perhaps you have copies of her books, If…You Would Add Beauty to the World or Wit and Wisdom from the Piano Bench. Maybe you were lucky enough to have her as a teacher or known her as a friend.
In December, we lost Suzanne to Parkinson’s, after a courageous 15-year battle with the disease. With her passing, many beautiful articles and sentiments have been shared. We are inspired to commemorate her work today with a video memory of Suzanne in her element—witty and wise. This excerpt comes from the Faber Piano Adventures 2018 MTNA presentation, “The Adventures Unfold.”

This extraordinary woman has fostered a love of music in countless people of all ages with wit, gentleness, and profound wisdom.”
