Randall Faber to reveal enlightened techniques for performing collaborative music, learning with audio visual support and employing app technology at 2016 MTNA Conference

Ann Arbor, MI, March 15, 2016 – Randall Faber, co-author of the world’s leading piano pedagogy method, invites you to embark on a truly original journey with him this year in San Antonio, TX. There will be two Piano Adventures showcases – the first tackling effective strategies for adult keyboard learners, the second displaying the pedagogy of new app technology. Together, the two presentations preface and introduce the Fabers’ latest release – the new look Adult Piano Adventures Books 1 and 2, available now with audio and video support.

The must-see event of this year’s Conference is the world premiere of Faber’s MTNA Commission for Collaborative Music 2016, Three Characters – a contemporary trio for piano, violin and viola at the intermediate level. MTNA launched the initiative several years ago, designating 2011 as the Year of Collaborative Music. Composer Nancy Faber was commissioned for the inaugural event. This year, Randall Faber has penned Three Characters for piano, violin and viola as the commissioned composition. Faber explains, “It’s exciting to be part of an ongoing effort to remedy the void in this category. My own history as a performer includes many collaborative engagements with fellow musicians who have enjoyed the opportunity to dialogue with one another through music. It is terribly important too that pianists develop these skills and not isolate themselves in individual practice and performance.”

Piano Adventures Player App

Collaboration too is the watchword for new content associated with this educational app. Piano Adventures Player gives teachers and students alike new ways to explore and develop. The app is available as a free download from the Apple app store, and includes three free songs per level. To learn more and download app, please visit Piano Adventures Player.
