Just saw that next year's MTNA conference is being held in Anaheim at the Disneyland Resort Hotel. I am so excited that it is close enough for me to attend. Plus it being at the Disneyland Hotel doesn't hurt either

I want to see how much the Disneyland hotel costs. They are known to be exorbitant. Show us the convention rate, please . . .

The convention rate will be $169/night, which is really pricey. Thankfully I live close enough to just drive to Anaheim and have some family in the area that I can most likely stay with to help off-set some of the cost.

That's the same rate as hotels for the convention for the last 5 years, and cheaper than New York.

How does the MTNA Convention compare to California's MTAC Convention? I'm considering going to it since it's in CA this year but I've heard from some teachers that MTAC's is better. As anyone attended both?

It's broader in scope, but I think MTAC's is better, in my experience. BUT . . . Disneyland . . . tax-deductible trip . . . I'm going to both.

Thanks for the rate info. I was wondering what it would be. It is less than NYC so that is good. Though for those who want to save $$ and stay at other hotels, there are a ton close by to choose from for cheaper.

Those of us that have roomed together have become fast friends and have saved money - that is what is priceless about the networking at MTNA! You don't get the same thing in your state convention, even though they are terrific, too.
