Mmmm, yes, the orange ones and the cinnamon ones have been a Christmas breakfast tradition in my family for as long as I can remember - first as I was growing up, now my own grown kids still INSIST on them. But I don't think calories count on Christmas, do they?

Orange cinnamon rolls? Sign me up. When I take the time I can make killer cinnamon rolls with a BHG recipe that was on the cover once. I hung around a TJ Cinnamon's for an hour, watching to get the technique down many years ago. When I don't have the time, I use the Contessa sticky bun recipe. Super easy with puff pastry. Every time you take a bite you want to slap someone and stamp a foot. Anyone else tried them?

What is up with this new WW plan? I have been AWOL the last year. What is this Points Plus stuff about? Keeping slightly on topic, ahem, we piano teachers need to know! All of that practice and sitting leads to the spreading Piano Teacher Caboose over time....

Cinnamon rolls with orange icing? On one hand, it sounds yummy; on the other hand, not so sure... I'd like to try it.

I make the Cinnabon recipe a few times each year. That's our favorite. I wonder if I changed the icing... added a little orange extract or OJ....

You use some freshly squeezed orange juice instead of cream or milk in the glaze and put grated orange zest in the filling part. It's fabulous, especially for the holidays.

Lisa, the WW points are all new. Everything is changed. Fruit is free. Points have gone up, especially for things that are bad for you. I have discovered that it's too many points for height-challenged mini-me, so I am going to have to adjust it if the new program is going to work. Or go to the gym a whole lot more. I'm really sorry if this is way off topic. blush

I heard WW is starting something new. I'm sure it's good, but why fix something that "ain't broke"? I lost a ton of weight with the first point system and don't plan to change. Now if I could just start back on those points....... This year has not been kind.

I'm an online WW member and I'm appreciating the new program. I'm doing the Simply filling Technic where, as long as you eat from the list of power foods, you don't have to count the points for everything you put in your mouth. There are lots more Weekly points available for those foods NOT on the list. You just have to exercise portion control. It's a winner for me. But basically, the points have all been reconfigured to take into account the quality of the foods based on carbs, protein, fiber, and fat. It's designed to allow you to eat what you want, but if you choose the less healthier foods, you'll end up paying with lots more points. Makes you really think twice about reaching for that cake or donut and consider the apple or orange much more instead. I like the new program.

Sounds like WW is getting healthier! I'm using Spark People, which is free. I've lost 19 pounds so far (would be more but was rearended in Nov and had to lay off the exercise for 2 weeks with back issues, and now have a horrible cold, so can't exercise unless you count coughing as exercise). Anyway, sparkpeople.com is totally free and has a great fitness and nutrition tracker.

I need to get back to using Spark People. It is a great resource, I'm just not the best at logging in stuff, etc... I would recommend it though.

Congrats on your 19lbs!
