Ok I'm trying out Firefox. That was too easy a fix.

Rhondo, you asked a bit ago about what the Calendar is for. There is one big group calendar that I can post to and that everyone sees, and (currently disabled) there is the possibility of turning on personal calendars for each member. However, the usability of this calendar is not very good, so I'm not all that interested in enabling that. For personal calendars, I would strongly recommend Google Calendar.

One fun thing that the single big group calendar can show is birthdays of members who put their birthday in their profile. Is this worth enabling? Also, I could post Faber appearances and events in the calendar, or conferences and competitions, etc. Thoughts?

I'm still seeing some inconsistencies with new posts indicators. (Yes, I have been logged in each time.) I thought it was all better, but just now when I came onto the board, one of the forums (special needs) said there were new posts, but when I clicked on it, none of the topics were lit, although the first one did have a new post, which I could tell from the time posted. Anyway, otherwise, all is well.

And, Karisofia, you're going to love firefox! (Go get the adblocker add-on if you haven't already.)

Hi Jon, I don't really care for the new forum. I agree with Ceil. I liked the light bulbs feature from the old forum. Also, when you set your cursor on the subject line, it does not complete the title of the thread.

Actually, Momlady, I do like the new forum. I just had a problem with the new post indicators, which seems to have resolved itself. The only other thing I miss (unless I'm missing it...) is the ability to just jump to new posts. Of course, for that we do now have the option of looking at posts from the last selected time period.

Hi, Jon
Thanks for the new site. I am having to log-in twice for it to take. Thanks,
Barbara

I'm not too keen on everything being at a center alignment. The left alignment is much easier to read imo.

cecilly, everything should appear left-aligned. I believe another user had reported this issue when using an older web browser. You may wish to upgrade or try Firefox.

Barbara, try clicking the My Cookies link at the bottom left, and then clicking the Expire Cookies button. Then perhaps you will no longer have to log in twice.

Ceil, you can jump to new posts by clicking the Active Topics link in the top bar. This will show you the most recently replied-to topics.

Momlady, sorry that the new post indicators are not to your liking. Regarding the subject line issue, are you talking about AutoCompletion of the subject when posting a new topic, or when making a reply?

Jon, is there something I should do to my computer to make everything appear left-aligned? All of my posts are centered.
Thanks.

Mine are centered too. I'm logged in using Internet Explorer 7.
